My last semester of undergrad one of my professors was really urging me to do more work relating to my Crohn’s Disease. I made a book of intestines and funny pictures. I drew sketches for a large sculptural intestine that showed the inflamed parts on the inside- it’s so hard and annoying to describe my disease; it affects everyone who has it differently and someone who doesn’t have it just doesn’t get it. I thought if people could walk around in it and touch stuff it might make it more accessible. Too bad I don’t have disposable money and a crew of skilled laborers so I can actually produce all of my ideas.
